JENNIFER CLINGO I declared that I wanted to be a lawyer when I was 10-years-old. I never wavered in that childhood decision, as my grandfather would later recall. Raised in West Virginia and Illinois, my family relocated to Florida while I was in high school. After studying history in undergrad, I remained in the south to attend law school at Tulane University in New Orleans. Tulane afforded me a dream opportunity to study international law abroad during 3L in Amsterdam. I returned to New Orleans after graduation and worked for the same small firm I clerked for during law school. Those partners were amazing mentors who provided me with great experience and ultimately shaped my litigation style and professionalism. As much as I loved New Orleans, I had wanted to live in California and experience the West Coast. After passing the California bar exam, I relocated in 2003 to Los Angeles. I worked for a 100-attorney law firm, handling primarily business litigation and intellectual property matters. I found my passion in practicing law in 2009 when I joined a prestigious boutique employment law firm in Century City, at which point I dedicated my legal practice to representing the rights of California employees. In early 2014, I founded Clingo Law Group and have continued to provide high-quality representation to employees who have suffered from discrimination, harassment, and retaliation in the workplace. In 2020, my journey continued when I relocated to Portland and took the Oregon bar exam. My representation along the West Coast allows me to enjoy the best of both states.
